In the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, we took on the exciting challenge of transforming a 6,000-square-foot warehouse into a vibrant and sophisticated office space for a dynamic team of young professionals in real estate and construction. The vision? A sexy, upscale, and masculine mid-century vibe reminiscent of the iconic “Mad Men” era. Beyond aesthetics, we wanted to design a space that fostered a company culture and reflected the progressive ethos of this upstart company.

Our client, the inspiration behind this venture, entrusted us with the task of designing a space that mirrored their company’s personality — youthful, lively, and cutting-edge. A tall order? Not for us. We started by maximizing natural light and revamped the entire area into a bright, functional office space with 14 private offices, a reception area, and a lobby featuring a shuffleboard table, (because… work-life balance.) Additionally, we renovated three bathrooms, ensuring that every detail, from tile to fixtures and lighting, aligned with the overall aesthetic.

One of the standout features of this project was the creation of a “Social Club” area with a prohibition speakeasy vibe. This space serves dual functions, acting as both an entertainment zone for parties and creative workspace for employee trainings. To add an element of surprise, we incorporated a hidden bookshelf entrance to the club, delivering on the cool and unexpected design requested by our client.

We personalized the space with carefully selected commercial-grade materials, from durable furniture like leather sofas and accent chairs to custom-built bar-height tables with concrete-look quartz countertops for easy maintenance. Sophisticated gloss slab panel front doors on cabinetry, a textured Stikwood accent wall with the company logo, and concrete cube accent tables add to the overall distinctive and modern brand impact.

Despite facing delivery and procurement hurdles, the outcome of this project was a resounding success. Signature Projects now has a productive office space that not only embodies our client’s vision but also stands as a testament to their forward-thinking approach in the industry.
